This week has been a wonderful, busy week.
Lindsey and Jared have been here and we have loved showing them this wonderful
country. I will write a separate post for that next week.
Thursday we took our kids to Institute.
They had a lovely time. Everyone was so friendly and kind to them. We were
hoping for a bonfire but it was still great to enjoy the fireworks. Thanks Rob
for standing in the pouring rain playing with fire so we could all go ooo and
aaaa!
The lesson was centered on Doctrine &
Covenants 25. There are grand messages in that section and timely council for
all.
10 And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things
of this world, and seek for the things of a better.
Another spiritual high light of the week
was ours just today. Our oldest grandson Ethan David Preece turned 12 today and
his kind Bishop let us watch as our son David conferred the Aaronic Priesthood
on his son and ordain him a deacon! What a very sweet experience! We have
missed so many important occasions while we have been here and we feel thankful
that we could participate, be it with an ocean between us, in this important occasion.

One last thought, I am also very grateful
that my son-in-law and grandson who live in Arizona walked away unharmed from a
fairly serious automobile accident yesterday. Prayers from across a continent
and sea are still heard.
Everyone enjoy your week. Be sure to
always look for the good moments of every day. Even on the darkest of days
there is always a bright moment. Sometimes you just have to search for them.
